Some says that the GT-R signifies Nissan's innovation, while the 350Z signifies their heritage, as such; the Silvia should be the model that signifies their youth. But for me, the Silvia is a car that continues the legacy of the classic FR (front engine rear wheel drive) sport car DNA. It isn’t pack with fancy electronic stuff like ABS or traction control, but to many, this is considered a blessing as it allows the driver to control the car based on their skill alone, making it a more ‘fun’ car to drive. Even though the Silvia have now been overshadowed by other Nissan siblings that are cramped with new technologies; namely the Z platform and the GT-R, but in the world of drifting, this car is the weapon of choice. Sure the Z and GT-R are good cars, but the exhilarating feeling that one gets when drifting in a Silvia is indescribable.
